Toshiki Zhusai

Date of Birth 9th August 2002

We would like to introduce you to our new addition to the family. He is called Toshiki Zhusai, however better known to us as Simba. He is a brown tabby with a Tonkinese coat pattern. He is our first fourth generation Tonkinese and will be out on the show bench as well as being our stud boy.

As soon as he saw me he decided I was his mum. And when I looked into his big beautiful eyes I knew I had been chosen. Like when Peppa came to live with us, Simba was straight out of the carrier having a nose around. And this was after a 6 hour or so journey home. He slept most of the way home as he came back with his half sister for all but 20 mins of the trip home. This meant that when we got home, I was tired and wanting sleep but he had other plans and was off to explore and play.

He has been with us now for less than 24 hours and already he is curled up asleep with Saffie. She is always very good with kittens. She has already washed him, however if she feels he has stepped out of line, or run through the house to fast she will tell him off. Peppa has also accepted him very quickly and is totally fascinated by what he gets up to. Tia, Coco and Mikki are needing a little more time to adjust to his bubbly personality.

Well by day four all was well. Today the 5th November2002, Simba met our vet Fiona, Simba was his typical self, very over the top. I am thinking he is going to let everybody that meets him, know that Tonkinese are the way to go. We have a lot of fireworks going off around us. This does not faze him at his young age. If he shows the Judges half as much love as Saffie then he's in for fun days on the bench.

We are hoping that Simba will take after his father Dan and be a house cat. This will take time training him not to spray, and what is right and wrong behaviours, but as he is going to be a closed stud he should have full interaction with the others in the house.

Watch this space for news of how he is getting on and how he does on the show bench.

This is Simba at four months old he has now settled in completely and is loving all of the attention the others shower him with. His personality is so out going. I think that him and Tia are going to produce kittens with temperaments and personalities to die for. They are both such loving cats, just like all of them. However he is still very into seeing if he can get milk from Coco and Saffie. The thing is they let him.

At his second show Simba got a Best of Breed out of 5 very lovely Tonkinese kittens. We are both so proud of him. He was so well behaved and this show he did not spend most of it asleep.

This is Simba 8 months old now and very Handsome. There is know way he would ever be able to live outside. He still can be very much the baby. Believe me!! However the big question is, is he a Daddy to be!! Why not check out how Tia and Simba are getting on, on there Going to Stud Page.

Simba is growing into a lovely young man now. This is showing in the show results from the five shows he has been to as a kitten.

Sadly Simba has been neutered it was felt that it was un fair to make him wait over a year for his new girls. However he is very happy being neutered and I am sure he will love our girl's Trinity & Kylie just as much.

This is a picture of Tia and Simba, they do so love each other. It is a shame that they could not of been parents, but if I have learnt one thing from having the experiences that we have had this year it is that stud's don't want to be around the queens all the time, and the queens don't want the stud's around all the time.

They have always been close but now they are so much close to each other. When the time comes again and we have another stud he will be living out side and have only limited time with the others.
