Bejaso Firefly

Date of Birth 24.07.95

Coco 7 1/2years old

Bejaso Firefly is better none to us as Coco & she is our oldest cat and she is a chocolate Burmese.

She can be very moody and only does things when she wants to. But when she does want to be affectionate, which is very often, then she does not stop purring. You don't have to stroke her before she starts to purr.  She has a personality that you would never forget.

Coco does sleep on the bed like the others. She does not sleep in the bed, thankfully. She sleeps on my pillow next to my head. This is great on those cold nights as she snuggles around my head and keeps  me warm. Breathing hot water bottle, what more could you ask for.

Since getting Simba, Coco has seemed to have got a new lease of life. She has very much taken to him and even quicker than the others, more she will even allow him to try and suckle from her.

Burmese in General

Burmese are good with both adults of all ages and children. They settle in with what's happening and adapt to changes. Like all the breeds we have they don't like to be left on there own so you should keep them with other cats. They do mix very well with other types of animals but will take over and rule the house. This does include the humans as well.

They are not a quiet breed and will talk to you like the Siamese and Orientals will but not as loudly. If you try to ignore them then they will just turn the volume up till you do answer them.

They are a very loyal breed and you can train them to walk on a lead, fetch and retrieve toys/screwed up paper balls but they don't like shut doors. They will want to sleep with you and on a cold night this is very warming.

Burmese come in a good selection of colours starting with the Brown then there is Blue, Chocolate, & Lilac. You also can get them in Red & Cream. You can also get the above colours in Torties.  Why not go to a cat show and see for your self the lovely colours they come in.
